One of the big debates on the island with regard to Maui real estate is what to do with transient vacation rentals. It looks as though the planning staff is trying to come up with some solutions.

Five bills drafted by the Maui County planning staff under direction of Planning Director Jeff Hunt would establish new standards to permit bed-and-breakfast and short-term vacation rentals outside the hotel/resort districts.
